Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening to all community members who have joined us from different parts of the globe. We most sincerely appreciate your attention. This is our new AMA session. My name is Gnak, and I am the head of research for Waterfall Network. Together with me here, we have Alex and Yen. Please remind the community who you are and what you are doing at our company.
Hello, I'm Alexan, the team lead of the developer team. We have been developing our projects for three years, and we are happy to announce that we will be launching our mainnet soon.
Hello, my name is Yen, and I represent the Waterfall research team. We are currently working on system design and adding auxiliary features like virtually unlimited sharing. Please keep in touch, as we will soon present a lot of brand new scientific results. Thank you!
Yes, that sounds amazing. Thank you for the introductions. This session will be pretty short because the questions we have so far are mainly related to topics we have already covered in the past. Most of the responses will be references to previous AMA sessions. We will also ask our community managers to address such questions directly in the chat. As it has been highlighted in previous AMA sessions, we probably don't need to repeat the same information multiple times.
Now, moving on to the questions.
Question number one: I am interested in participating in any ICO, IDO, or pre-sale public sale for Waterfall. Would you let me know if such events are planned before the TGE listing, and if so, whether they will be on your platform or other launch pads? Also, how can I get whitelisted to take part?
This question was highlighted in detail during the previous AMA session, so I will refer to that. I will ask Natalia and Victoria to send the link to it. In previous sessions, all questions related to participation in the development and launch of the network were addressed. You can approach Richard Wang, who is in the chat, and Bradu, or write to invest relations at Waterfall Network. I highly encourage you to review the previous AMA session that took place two weeks ago, where you can find all the details regarding this question.
Question number two: Where will I be able to buy your coin?
Again, the same answer applies: please review the previous AMA sessions, as all of this was highlighted in the past. UK residents can buy the coin, and it has also been mentioned in previous sessions. So far, we are not aware of any limitations for UK residents, but announcements will be released by the Switzerland Association of Waterfall regarding this matter.
Question number three: Will there be a reward system or referral program?
I don’t think there will be one.
Question number four: Is the 25th of March the exact date for the mainnet launch?
Internally, we still have this date, but as highlighted in the previous session, the launch date may be a little postponed. This is being done at the request of the association, as they are planning to collaborate with at least one launch pad, possibly multiple. We will see how that unfolds. There will also be listing procedures that need to be completed with at least one or more likely multiple exchanges. All of this will be aligned with their plans.
We are currently working to organize an AMA session that will not only be led by the technical team but will also include different participants. We will announce this session in advance, and there will be representatives from the association who will be able to address these questions directly.
Question number six: On which CEX will you be listed?
Again, I refer to the previous sessions for this information. Thank you for your understanding.
The future of our network is all about continuous improvement and user-friendly experiences, with exciting updates and community involvement on the horizon.
They are going to do the round with at least one launch pad, and maybe multiple; we will see. There will also be listing procedures that need to undergo with at least one or more likely multiple exchanges. This all will be aligned with their plans.
We are currently working to organize an AMA session, which will not only be led by the technical team, which is us, but there will be different other participants. We will announce this session in advance, and there will also be people from the Association who will be able to address questions directly.
Regarding question number six, "What CIX will you be listed?" Again, referring to the previous session, this question was also highlighted there. In general, we can say that there will be more announcements done by the Association on this topic, and they are expected to be at least one or most likely multiple.
For question number seven, "What to expect after the main net?" Alex, I think this will go over to you, and then I will share some other plans.
Thank you for the questions. All changes that have been developed over the course of three years will be included in the main network. Also, today we are announcing that next week there will be a hard fork with worker management features. This fork will be immediately activated upon the launch of the main network. After the main net launch, we will improve the user interface with a one-click setup; we are currently working on this. We will complete the security AIT and will work on the next tasks prepared by our research teams, such as sub-network shards and workers.
Sergey, can you add more information?
Yes, thank you, Alex. After the main net, we will continue the development of the network. Soon, there will be an update of the network on the goal, and there will also be public testing of this functionality. Among the functions will be the development of sub-networks, which is actually parallel processing on a single shard. More work will also be done on the sharding technique and on the second and third steps of light nodes for portable devices, including smartphones. Many other things are present on our roadmap, and we are going to implement, build, and update the technology. We will probably involve more people from the community for this.
So, basically, this is the plan, and a big portion of this will be happening after the launch of the main net.
Moving on to question number eight, "What will be the price of your coin?" We are not doing any predictions on the prices and definitely do not make any promises on the increase of value or something like that. The coin is used only inside of the network, and we encourage participation only if you are willing to use the coin for utility purposes, such as contributing to the security of the network, deploying different DApps, or providing some functionality, such as liquidity for the DApps, etc. Use the coin only for utility; this is our encouragement.
Now, for question number nine, "Do I need to download special programs for your project?" Alex, over to you.
Currently, we have Docker versions, and you need to install Docker and set it up following the instructions you can read on our documentation site. We are also working on a one-click setup application, and you will only need to install our one application. I think it will be ready in about two weeks, and you can test it on the testnet. After that, we will set up nodes using either Docker or the one-click setup application, which will work natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
Thank you, Alex. When do we expect the release of the one-click setup?
In about two weeks, we need to finish it to set up and deploy the first version. Maybe in the next AMA sessions, we will provide information about this and present our application.
Sounds good!
In just two weeks, you'll be able to simplify your setup with our one-click application—innovation is on the horizon!
We are currently working on the one-click setup application, which will only require the installation of our single application. I believe it will be ready soon, in about two weeks, and you will be able to test it on Testnet 8. We will set it up either on my system or using Docker, and it will natively work on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
Thank you, Alex. When can we expect the release of the one-click setup? We anticipate that it will be ready in about two weeks, as we need to finish the setup and deploy the first version. Perhaps in the next AMA sessions, we will provide more information about this and present our application.
Regarding question number 10 about the EO and IDO, and question number 11 concerning the upcoming updates for the token, both of these questions refer to previous AMA sessions. As I mentioned, we will ask our community managers to provide more details when we encounter similar questions. In summary, there will be updates about launch pads, listings, and associations that will be released soon.
Please feel free to ask any questions if you have them right now or in the chat. I am currently reviewing the chat.
Hello, brothers! What's up? How are you doing today? It's really a nice project, bro—keep it up!
Thank you so much! Your hard work is truly appreciated, and we can see that you are committed to the project.
I appreciate your attention to it, and we are doing our best to keep it moving forward. I just have a few questions. What really motivates you guys about launching this project into the space?
Our team has spent most of our time in blockchain, focusing on building infrastructure, particularly in Ethereum-inspired ecosystems. For example, one of the first layer two solutions for Ethereum based on Plasma was built by our team. To our best knowledge, our GitHub repository with a working prototype of Plasma Cash was the first of its kind on GitHub at that time.
However, after conducting tests and developing multiple applications utilizing this technology, we realized that there were certain limitations to this approach. It didn’t excite us as much as we initially thought it would. Therefore, we decided to continue our research in the direction of scalability, security, and further pushing the boundaries of decentralization of existing technologies.
That’s really nice! How long has your project been in development?
We started development a little more than three years ago, so we will probably be celebrating exactly three years since we began writing the code in one or two months. There was also research done prior to that, so we can say that it has been more than three years—closer to four years—since we started our work in this direction.
Wow, that’s great! Are you the owner of the project, or are you part of a team creating this amazing project?
Yes, we are part of the team. If you are asking about the social channels, we are indeed a group of individuals working together on this project.
Collaboration is key in the crypto space; together we can build trust and guide investors through the noise.
In two months, we will be celebrating exactly three years since we started writing the code. There was also research done prior to that, so we can say that it's more than three years, probably closer to four years since we started our work in this direction. Wow, that's great!
When asked about their role in the project, they clarified, "The project is not owned by one entity or one person. There are different stakeholders to this, so we work on the side of the for-profit entity."
The conversation shifted to the possibility of collaborating on a channel. The interviewer expressed interest in having them on their channel, "the infinity C," to explain more about their project. They responded positively, stating, "That would be great. We will be glad to join your channel."
The interviewer emphasized the purpose of their channel, saying, "We just come to the space to help upcoming projects and to guide investors... The crypto space now is full of scams." They further explained that their channel does not charge much and has no "fing Bo."
In response, the project representatives expressed enthusiasm, stating, "This is a great idea, and it will be our pleasure to join your channel." They requested the details for the collaboration, and the interviewer confirmed they would send them.
As the conversation continued, the interviewer asked about the origins of the project. The representatives explained, "We are a distributed team. I live in the United States, and the software development company is located in the United States. Our colleagues are located in Europe, mainly in Ukraine." They also mentioned that the association is registered in Switzerland and that Richard Wang, located in China, is the chairman of the association.
The interviewer noted that their channel primarily attracts members from Europe, the United States, and the UK, stating, "It's still an upcoming channel... we made up this channel like it's having about 3K members." They highlighted the authenticity of their channel, contrasting it with others that might have inflated member counts.
They expressed excitement about the potential collaboration, saying, "I would really be happy for you guys to come over... the T-shirt of your project is really amazing." The representatives acknowledged this enthusiasm, stating, "Sounds great. We look forward to exploring this."
As the discussion wrapped up, they thanked each other for their time. The representatives offered to address any follow-up questions and encouraged the interviewer to review the video for more information. They concluded with, "Thank you so much for being with us, and we look forward to seeing you in two weeks."
The interviewer responded, "Okay, bye! Have a great day!
