What we have here is this man suspected of shooting at vehicles on I-75 around London, Kentucky, in Laurel County. He was taking shots from an elevated position around Exit 49. We know that at least five people were severely wounded and taken to the hospital. I don't have a count on the deaths right this moment, but this is the man they are currently chasing.

They had track of him for a moment, and they have also stated that he made comments that he was going to kill a lot of people today. People who know him are reporting this to the police. He also purchased an AR-15 early this morning with several thousand rounds of ammunition. The chat is saying that his profile indicates he is a 911 operator and that he has former military experience.

So, what we know right now is that it is this man being chased by law enforcement. He shot multiple people in Kentucky on Highway 75. He took a post right on the edge of the road here in Kentucky. That's where I'm at right now; I'm about a couple of hours east of this location. It's very hilly, and then it becomes very mountainous. Right there in London, in 75, that area has a lot of hills, a lot of mountains, and a lot of ridges and rock faces. He could have been anywhere up in there.

They are saying that around Exit 49 is where this all initiated. The first people that started getting shot at were in this region of 909 Highway 25 and 75, that vicinity. I'm going to go over to the chopper here. The chopper you see right here is Kentucky State Police. They are out here tracking this area. If I can get a new bead on them and get a zoom in, you can see this chopper may have landed right here and then lifted back off. We've seen it do this several times; it may be landing in fields, thinking that they see something, and then they take back off. They're right up near the highway.

The chopper is currently over Wildcat Happy Hollow Road, searching that region, which is located in the East Northeast 75 area. The suspect was last seen out of the woods, and there was a team on the ground. I doubt the suspect is watching this broadcast; he is on the run after firing shots from the woods. The last sighting of him was as he headed into the woods.

We are keeping the scanner active because they could provide a significant update at any moment. Currently, we do not know the suspect's whereabouts, but they are trying to get 75 open by the power lines. This incident is taking place in Laurel County, where the suspect is being pursued for having shot five people. The command post is only about a quarter-mile away from the scene. If you are at the command post and head south, you will find a yellow double gate on the left side of the road, right behind which the chase is occurring.

We have dozens of units on the ground all over the place, and apparently, there are multiple choppers in the sky. We are tracking at least one of them, and this is the area around Exit 49 in Kentucky, 90925, where the suspect is said to have gone.

All hands are on deck as the suspect is on foot. Family members have stated that he threatened to kill all of them and bought an AR-15 this morning, along with a couple thousand rounds. He has shot seven people thus far, reportedly shooting them through the windshield from a higher elevated perch next to the highway. If there is an unmarked helicopter up there, it is likely military, which aligns with what I think is going on here. They pulled one of them out, possibly one of the DEA weed choppers earlier.

I-75 has reopened in both directions, and the search continues in the area. I can imagine that I-75 is backed up. The individual responsible for the incident shot these people through the front windshield from a perch on the side of the highway. Regarding the situation, mylar blankets do stand out as reflective. There are different materials available, but I am just not so sure that this guy was fully prepared for all of this. In Kentucky, there are a ton of caves and a lot of overhangs, particularly in the Daniel Boone National Forest, which is known for this. He could easily dip into any of those places if he knows the area well. However, I am uncertain about how well this individual knows the region.

I need to refresh the signal; I had that 1088 fixed earlier. He was just giving me the 1088 of the subject we already have, but just to let you know, uh-oh, the other chopper just disappeared off the screen right there.

Now, that one is on Insley Road. Yes, Dra Masters, thank you for showing us. It’s like clockwork, isn’t it? The other helicopter disappeared off the screen right there, and we will just have to sit here and watch. We will back out; this other one is sitting here, and you can see it has done one big circle, moving a little differently than the other one. The other helicopter disappeared right here; it might have touched down, as we have seen it do that several times.

Currently, 209 is in there with representatives from the state, and they have SH 25 shut down. They want to keep 25 shut down until they catch this individual, which is the latest update on what we know. The cell signal in this area, particularly near the highway in the main part of town, is pretty solid with the state department. They are trying to decide where to shut down 25 along this whole stretch.

You hit the Rock Castle River right up here, and that’s where the chopper is right now. We have all the vehicles on the road; 909, nobody pass. Here’s the 909 right here; you can see the chopper basically did a big circle around it. The other chopper landed and has not taken back off yet. It’s probably going to pop back up here any minute. He may be listening to radio communications, but he may not.

Someone mentioned earlier that FLIR doesn’t work well in water, which could be relevant if he’s near the river or the larger lake nearby.

FLIR also struggles with foliage, which complicates the search. There could be small dams anywhere along the Rock Castle River, and beavers often set up shop in such areas. I’m not sure if there are any significant man-made dams in this exact vicinity, but there is one coming into the lake. The Woods Creek Lake Dam is located right off 75, which goes over it, and it’s situated just before reaching the target area.

The last known location of the individual named Tyler was at Exit 49 about five minutes ago, which is where the chopper is currently circling.

The other chopper is refueling, and it seems they are running them in and out of the area. There is uncertainty regarding what these choppers have on board, as they do not disclose all that information. If they are newer, high-tech choppers, their capabilities could be significant.

Again, I don't know what kind of plan this guy had or how well he knew the area. He could have had scuba gear and gone into the lake; I mean, I really don't know at this point. But with a weapon that he just bought today—a fresh AR and 2,000 rounds of ammunition—I don't think he spent all those rounds. I'd say he's definitely running with them. I don't know what else he'd be carrying on him; carrying all this stuff, he's not going to be able to travel super fast on foot, so that kind of limits him to this area.

It seems like it's heading straight for where the chopper is at, so this could be one of their planes as well. We'll see if it passes through or if it starts to circle down here.

We know where the cops are on the ground. The chopper drops off radar whenever it goes low. Yeah, sometimes we've known that they've landed because they've said it in different situations. Of course, they're going to have to take off and go refuel.
